CHARLIE CHAN

(FISCAL YEAR 2014-2016)

 

Charlie Chan from Singapore was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of Lions Clubs International at the association's 97th International Convention held in Toronto, Canada, July 4 through 8, 2014.

 

Director Chan is managing director.

 

A member of Singapore Changi Lions Club, and Lion since 1983, he has held many offices within the association, including district govenor, multiple district international relations chairperson, multiple district youth exchange and outreach chairperson, CSFII national/multinational coordinator, certified guiding Lion and faculty member for several Senior Lions Leadership Institutes.

 

In recognition of his service to the association, he has received numerous awards, including the 100% District Governor award, the Senior Master Key Award, six extension Awards, and an International President's Award. He is also a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow and a Humanitatian Partner Bronze.

 

Director Chan and his wife, Dora also a Lion and Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow, have one daughter, four sons and six grandchildren.
